Accreditation Visits

The ACPHA Commission will conduct full on-site team accreditation visits during the remainder of 2023 and during the 2024 academic year. ACPHA realizes that as each University continues to navigate the changes made during the past several years due to the pandemic, in that there may be different operating policies and procedures regarding campus visitors as well as learning modalities.

Programs seeking reaccreditation will continue to host a full in-person site visit team. It is important that each program seeking reaccreditation during these academic years contact the ACPHA Office as soon as possible to discuss any issues with their planned visit or to begin the planning process.

Programs seeking initial accreditation must host an in-person site visit and should contact the ACPHA office for more information.

ACPHA Standard Changes and Common Program Learning Outcomes

ACPHA realizes that the change to the Common ACPHA Program Learning Outcomes (PLOs) has been a transitional period for many programs. During the past year programs needed to migrate from Individualized PLOs to the Common ACPHA PLOs. This applied to the Program’s Assessment Plans/Data as well. Programs were required to move to the Common ACPHA PLOs by the fall 2022. These PLOs should also be posted on the Program’s website landing page, and incorporated in course syllabi, and assessment plans. All programs will be evaluated only on the results of the assessment of the Common ACPHA PLOs during an accreditation visit. ACPHA held several virtual training sessions during the migration to share the new standard changes and common PLOs.

For those programs that were not able to attend the virtual training sessions, below is the link to a recorded session as well as the presentation.
